Yo, any programmers out there who know of a good API for tracking custom events within a Flash game?
I'm looking to collect tons of data about what equips and skills players use in EBF4, and where the difficulty spikes are.
I previously used Mochi's Analytics, but apparently they don't do custom events anymore.
I was away in Sweden for a while, but I'm back now and EBF4 is almost ready for beta testing!
(plz don't ask to be a beta tester; it'll be up on my DA page, just like all my other stuff.)
Not a lot of features left to add now. Still got plenty of debugging to do though.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4 is around 90% finished!
I'm putting in all the battles and trying to balance stat growth just now.
From my testing so far, it looks like the game will be twice as long as EBF3, which means it should take the average player 20 hours to complete. And if that's too long, one can always switch to Easy mode at any time to speed things up.
I've put some Santa equips into EBF4, which you can only get in December.
So you won't be seeing them for a year, unless you cheat and change your system time.
Anyway, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or whatever.
Still gotta add: music, medals, languages, an intro animation, tons of APIs, individual battles, and game balance.
Finished the quests for EBF4!
I'm realizing that I won't have the game finished this year, so I'll have posted nothing on Newgrounds in 2012!
I think I'll have to post another Sketchbook to fix this.
That's me finished all the cutscenes for EBF4.
Starting to write dialogue now.
Oh, and I made a Creeper pumpkin.
Working on the cutscenes for EBF4 now. I'm pretty happy with how they're turning out.
