Cat Cafe Gameplay

Posted by matt-likes-swords - August 6th, 2013

I've made a short video of the gameplay in Cat Cafe.
Besides the stuff shown, there will also be an upgrade system, achievements, and a dress up mode.

I'll be releasing the game on Android first, then iOS, then on the web.

HOLY CATS! That looks fun, and hard, but mostly fun lol.

I have a question, what's the price going to be for game or is it going to be free? Unless you edited it out or muted it, the game seems to be lacking music. I'm assuming you still have to add/make it. I'm probably gonna get it on my phone.

$1 probably.
Yeah, there's no music yet.

$1 price tag, eh? You sure you're not selling yourself short? I mean I'd buy it at $2 or $3, but that's just me. regardless it looks like a fun, challenging little game, so I'll be getting when it comes out.

that looks really fun^^

i can't wait

Is there anything more to the game then that

Not really.

this seems like a game that most cake mania would wanna play but it looks cool

looks nice

Why would you release on the iOS you have to have your games approved and it anti-freedom kinda like a crystal prison. I would suggest Ubuntu and Android.

Because iOS is by far the most profitable mobile platform?

IOS= $$$$$ = smiling face for matt

I meant Ubuntu Touch <a href="http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ubuntu-edge/x/181218">http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ubuntu-edge/
x/181218</a>
By the way why not make it free to play aka the game is free but with DLC that you have to pay for. Another thing I would like is for the game code to be Under GPLv3. And Assets Under CC-BY. Of the free version not the paid DLC.

That game looks fun!

Really nice looking, but the gameplay seems a little bit dull. Upgrades might help there, but still it looks like it would get boring quite fast.

How about another aspect to the game like running out of stuff to sell. So you have a finite number of each drink, and when it gets low you have to Order a new shipment of it, which will cost you and take some time to get to you.
This could add some variety to the game, and also would make for more upgradable stuff like stock-size, delivering time and costs.
just an idea.

Also, I advice you to focus on iOS, because like you said below, its the most profitable platform out there. a little excample:
<a href="http://www.capybaragames.com/2013/07/a-sworcery-infographic/">http://www.capybaragames.com/2013/07/a-sworcer y-infographic/</a>

as you can see, android only made a measly 5% of the total revenue, while iOS made 55%. Other companies experienced the same, but aren't as generous with their informations.

looks awesome!!!!! cant wait for it to be available for the android, because once i get it guarantee my little sister will steal my phone. LOL

How did you like my free to play idea?Aka freenium

Looks fun and hard lol.
Nice to know it will be for the web too.

If you're going to move on to mobile gaming, you might consider porting EBF3 and 4 as well (I'm sure you'd be thrilled to screw with those again) But they'd probably sell. You'd have to add a suspend feature mid-battle though, since most people wouldn't sit with their phone for an hour fighting Akron and cat god. Sorry for bringing those up again... anyway, it's good that you know what direction you want to go.

I think it might be more interesting if you had to flick the drinks to the cats rather than just tap them. This would IMO make the game far more hectic and addicting.
