looking good. just kinda sad Nat's ninja clothes are gone =( also i cant be the only person who tried to click anna's boobs too right? Also how is this backup thing gonna work? will it be 3 characters in and one comes in to ither switch or when they die?

All the health items should be grouped together on one/two rows with the MP items grouped on another row. The items that buff (as well as coffee and garlic) should have another row.
I love the idea of Chili Sauce. I expect that to be crazy expensive.
The boots seem like a cool concept.
My favorite equip by far is the slime hat. Hopefully I won't be overwhelmed with the massive amount of new stuff!

Also, the last 4 badges: was "shiny" intentionally spelled wrong?

i wouldve put all of the charaters in the battle, not save one in case one dies, but you make great games, so i guess its fine. though the backup charater better get some exp too after fights when you dont use him.

I played around with the menu demo you linked to.

On the options menu, there is a difficulty setting! Are we going to be able to change the difficulty in the middle of the game like in Adventure Story? I get the idea -- some people get stuck on a certain part of the game, and with such a feature, those who are stuck can lower the difficulty for that part of the game. Those who find the game too easy can up the ante.

For foe stat bonuses, will difficulty affect every stat (including HP, resistances, evade, and damage) or just damage/HP? Are there still going to be special bonus effects for foes fought on Epic difficulty? I do hope that the effects are more drastic since I beat EBF3 on the hardest difficulty so many times, and I even managed to win in five hours on Epic mode. The 60% bonus damage did not do too much to me, and as far as I can tell, there are very few drastic differences between Epic mode and the easier settings besides the following:

-Tundra Mammoth spawning Monolith more frequently, freeze resistance works wonders
-Passive poison effect for some enemies including green slimes and Skull Ghosts
-Foes buffing magic while charging up, buff can be removed with Dispel

How will being able to change the difficulty in the middle of the game detrimentally impact the difficulty-based achievements? With such an option, I am getting the impression that some people may set the difficulty to an easier setting the whole way through, then set the mode to Epic before beating the final boss just to earn a medal.

The difference in difficulty will be done pretty much the same way as before, but with a greater change in stats.

The achievements will probably just involve beating certain bosses on given difficulties.

That and there's also the foe/boss rush...

I am so freakin' excited right now for EBF4, I just can't take it no more.
