The game is awesome (But when they randomly talk to each other I find it weird.) and I'm nearly finished.

I am enjoying this game quite a lot, but I encountered a bug, I got the first egg rather early, (right after i got the axe, i went straight up and nabbed the one directly above the first equipment shop), but for some reason, it never was added to my inventory. I didn't notice until much later in the game (when i was actually at the jungle proper, and i had collected all six), I turned in 3 of them for one of the quests, but now I'm stuck with 2 eggs in my inventory, and an unfinishable quest, which is quite irksome, as i don't want to start the game all over again (i just beat the jungle boss, so im REAAAAAAALLY far in the game) Any way you can fix this?
