CS4 looks horribly ugly and grey. I like the look of Flash 8 the best, but I thought I'd better upgrade so I could learn ActionScript 3 (which I still haven't done). Hopefully CS5 will include a skinning feature.

If these Epic games came out a few years sooner I'd be all into them because I used to love RPGs like this big time. but not so much anymore. I need more action like Kingdom Hearts styled play.

Flash 8 ftw. I heard that Flash CS5 will have the ability for you to make applications for the Iphone, so it will probably be an upgrade I will have to get. ;/
I just have to laugh, all these comments about the "look" of different flash versions. Flash is a tool. Why fuss over the look, the tool that best suits your needs is the best tool for the job. I don't animate because I don't have the drive to. But I do fabricate for a living, and the look of a "tool" is barely an afterthought to it's function. Just my two cents really, but if you don't like the look of a tool as an artist, then hire someone who can use the tool and doesn't care (think giant software firms that employ hundreds of people), then make the art that you want them to use. Weird how that's worked for decades.
The GUI is completely different, a pain if you've been using Flash 8 for 4 years.
It's like using Windows all your life and then suddenly getting a Mac.
