Do you ever plan on making any more turn based games like ebf?

On the fence.

what do you think about Ruffle?
can ruffle do something flash couldn't? (rendering, entity limits etc)
any big 'out there' wish for a feature on ruffle?

Ruffle is very good at rendering vector graphics fast, so it makes games that use those much more viable at high resolutions and maybe higher framerates, but the animation tools aren't great for going above 30fps. Anyway, it allows for much more animation to be displayed, in games where that would have been the bottleneck before (like EBF).

Will older characters like zombie Goku, akron or these brawl royale characters return or nah

If there happens to be a place where they fit in, sure.

If the Switch 2 turns out to be as successful if not more successful than its predecesor would you consider a Switch 2 port? I know its very common for Indie devs to aim for Switch and PC at most due to that being where the core audience is from what I've heard and it brings in the dough more than Xbox and Playstation

I think EBF plays a lot better on mobile with touch controls because it is designed for a mouse. I'd have to change a LOT to make a game like EBF5 with so many menus to work with a controller.

Coca cola man or Pepsi man?

Irn Bru. I don't drink American any more.

How many cats will you have in your game?

Oof.

Of the games that you have developed which one was your favorite to work on?

EBF3 was probably the last one before it started to feel like a job.

@matt-likes-swords You are my idol, lmao

Any chance for merch? I'd love to have a no-legs plush or something cool and simple like the sacred jewels on a shirt or something.

I dunno, it would be cool but I feel like the companies that produce merch aren't giving great value to customers. You massively overpay for something that is produced in China or Bangladesh anyway. I kinda wish a Chinese company would just do it without my permission and make it cheaper for the customer.

But yeah, plushies are a possibility.

@SarcasticMonster2 @matt-likes-swords I had made fanart once featuring a weaponless psychic being. It was Natalie's mom.

Is there any plans on making a console port of for example EBF5? Or any plans of something like a Remake of EBF3?

Nah, the EBF games are a better fit for mobile, since touch and mouse controls are similar, and mobile has a bigger audience than console.

I don't see the point of remaking indie games.

What are the characters from EBF based on?

Pepsi Man or Coca Cola Man?

Godcats are canonically Nolegs pets by ebf5 or are they just chilling with him for no reason ? Or there is a real reason they side with him ?

what's your favorite color

Probably tan now.

I have two questions.

1. In what year did you create the main character? (I mean Matt)

2. What do you think about the comparisons some people make to Matt and Marisa (from Touhou)?

(Personally, I love the comparison. They are somewhat similar in personality.)

1. I dunno, check my old Newgrounds stuff.
2. It's a coincidence.

In Epic Battle Fantasy 1, there's a shopkeep that resembles Anna. Retroactively speaking, was she Anna, or just someone related to Anna?

Prototype Anna.

Would you want to watch a banana spinning if you could

Sounds like hell.

Did you have any inspiration for making the ebf characters? or did you make the idea of them by yourself?

Copied an earlier reply:
They were developed over a long period of time.
Matt kinda looks like me.
Natalie is his perfect girlfriend.
Lance is sort of a bad guy.
And Anna is based on the 2 girls from the Wakfu series.

We all know pirates are fking cool, but is there any reason why Matt is a pirate? Any pirate based media inspired his design?

Hmm, nah I don't think so. I just played around with weird art assets at the time, tried out different hats and it stuck.
