Very cool game.
I was going to complain that the gold pears weren't saving correctly, but it turns out you need to land to collect them, which I never realized until after finishing every level. Flying straight into the door will usually cause you to miss them. :P

Interesting concept, but I think this mechanic would get annoying if the game were any longer than it was! For a short game it's fun though.

Very cool game - wish there were more of it!

Cool game - but you might wanna add in some easier achievements!

Very cool. It is indeed very faithful to the original, and plays very smoothly despite the hardware's limitations.

Butzbo & Connor's music box is awesome.

ZOMG thanks Matt! :)

Very cute and polished game!
The music, graphics and gameplay are all high quality - good job!

Thank you! Super glad you noticed the music, it's partially why I got into game development. Glad you felt the game was high quality! :D

Very cute and polished game. Really enjoyed my first playthrough and will come back soon for Newgame+. Jimp and Waterflame being involved makes a super nostalgic Flash-game aesthetic.

Cool game, I love FFR! The animations are really slick.

I think the user interface needs some work though. The feedback you get when hitting arrows is not very clear - the "good", "great", etc should probably be color-coded and appear somewhere more visible on your section of the screen. The colors of the arrows also make them hard to see against the similarly colorful background - perhaps when it's your turn your side of the screen should darken or something. Finally, during the tutorial it was not immediately clear that only one player was me and I was only supposed to hit arrows on one side - I think that needs to be pointed out more clearly.

Looking forward to see what else you add to this!

Hits you right in the feels.
It combines modern walking-sim storytelling with retro graphics, which is a nice combination.
Overall my favourite part was the mood-setting background noise - that was used effectively.

My only criticism is that the 2nd half of the game felt a bit slower, and a few scenes seemed repetitive and unnecessary.

Blurb.
